DESCRIPTION:This session has five consecutive classes on Tuesdays.  Attendance at all five classes is highly encouraged. \n\n\n\nDo you dream of owning your own business? \n\n\n\nAre you ready for a realistic perspective on whether or not people really want to buy what you want to sell? \n\n\n\nThis program helps aspiring  and newer entrepreneurs look at all aspects of their business idea\, exploring the feasibility of their new venture and learning how to develop a viable business. This business creation program is fast-paced\, interactive\, fun and energizing. The Missouri Small Business Development Center at UMKC’s ELEVATIONLAB offers the program in an accelerated time frame to let potential entrepreneurs get started with their businesses as soon as possible. Guest speakers and entrepreneurs bring their real-world experience to make topics come alive. Participants develop and grow their businesses through the group activities and coaching from professional business counselors. The class materials include FastTrac\, GrowthWheel® and other elements with step-by-step activities and in-depth information. You don’t just learn about business\, you work on your own business venture throughout the program. \nScholarships may be available making the cost of class just $150. Your application will be reviewed for those opportunities. Scholarships will be awarded on a first pay\, first receive basis.  \n\n\n\nDeadline for payment is September 29. \n\n\n\n\n\n

DESCRIPTION:Bootcamp is a two day event – July 13 from 9am – 4pm AND July 14 from 9am – 2pm. If you have worked with Missouri SBDC previously\, you will register as an existing account (you may need to reset your password). If you are new to our center\, you will create a new account to register.\nDo you have an innovative\, significant technology with commercial potential? \nAre you interested in or planning to apply for one of the lucrative SBIR or STTR research grants offered by the Federal Government? \nThen the SBIR Bootcamp may be right for you. Open to qualified participants\, the 2-day Bootcamp will be taught by  Assel Grant Writing Services\, one of the area’s top grant-writers\, together with our Missouri SBDC technology development and commercialization experts. They will lead you through the process of developing an SBIR or STTR grant proposal. You will receive group and one-on-one coaching as you work through each section of the grant application.
